Ends and Beginnings
April and May, Oh my!
At the beginning of April, I finally completed a 40+ piece exhibition, Guide to Hiking, which was something I had spent the entire last year completing. It was installed in Regis University's O'Sullivan Gallery and was a part of the senior thesis exhibition, Perennial Paradoxes.
The show was hung for about 2 1/2 weeks where me and the two other amazing artists involved threw an amazing opening reception and gave our first artists talks.
At the end of April, I walked across the stage on Regis University's quad, officially ending my 4 years as a student and completing my major in fine arts and my minors in English and Environmental studies.
The first week of May, I took a short trip to Utah where I hiked and camped in the beautiful and vast red desert. I brought paints, canvases and took hundreds of photos for future inspiration.
In the past week I also started my new job at Golden Gate Canyon State Park here in Colorado where I am constantly surrounded by beautiful mountains scapes, trees and moose 40 hours a week.
After the pressures of finishing a year long project, graduating and starting my new life in the real world, I am looking forward to channeling my creativity in the outdoors this summer!
Stay tuned for new work and great adventures!
