The Present, Goals, and Looking Ahead.

Welcome to my first blog post! Thank you so much for being here!

My name is Baileya White and I am a visual artist currently emerging from the comforts of my B.A. program at Regis University in Denver, CO. My first group exhibition will be installed in the campus gallery in less than a month and while I am ecstatic to be finishing my degree with such a fun and rewarding show, I am also left with the consuming thought of "What is next?" and growing anxieties about a very unknown future.

I have always advocated for the strengths we as humans can find in adversity and I want to use these anxieties to encourage me rather than to hinder me. To start to address them, I have created a few goals for my art career in the next year.

1. Build my online presence (which I am starting today!)

2. Create a new body of work - I already have so many ideas

3. Research and possibly apply for masters programs and/or residencies

All in all, I am very excited for this journey, despite the the inevitable challenges that I may face. I am even more excited to be sharing the journey with all of you. Stay tuned! Big things are coming!
